ACCZ provincial chairpersons and coordinators met on Sunday and resolved to recall Archbishop Ndanga and scrapped the life presidency position he had bestowed upon himself. In a letter to Archbishop Ndanga, ACCZ said:

“It is with grave sadness that we are recalling you from the Apostolic Christian Council of Zimbabwe presidency with immediate effect because of the blatant violations of our governing constitution which you are supposed to uphold,” reads the letter.

“Archbishop, you have violated the constitution of ACCZ Section 2 by manipulating the appointment of ACCZ patrons without agreeing with the Apostolic Bishops Conference.

You failed to run the council, that caused the council to lose its office in contravention of Section 13.3 which says the books of accounts shall be kept at registered office of ACCZ or at such place as the ABC may think fit and shall always be open to the inspection of ACCZ.”

Archbishop Ndanga could not be reached for comment. The Herald
