At the weekend, the comedy group donated various food stuffs to Soda Old People’s Home in Highfield, Harare in a gesture meant to show appreciation for the support they have received over the past two years.

“We just wanted to show appreciation for the support we have been getting from fans, corporates and sponsors.

“The best way to do it we felt was through charity donations.

“We cannot move door-to-door thanking people for the support so charity was our way of saying thank you to Zimbabwe. Our job is to make people happy by all means necessary,” Aaroni told the Daily News.

He added that they donated groceries worth $500.

“We were supported by corporates, musicians and ordinary people to come up with the donation,” the Bustop co-founder said.

Aaroni said the donation was one of several activities that will lead up to the group’s anniversary celebrations set for New Ambassador Hotel on Saturday.

“We will be supported by Baba Shupi, Doc Vikela, Probeatz, Magi, Gonyeti, Simba The Comic King, Q Dube, Mandla the Comedian (Bulawayo) Tinaye, Madzitate, Kadem the Comedian and Comrade Fatso,” he said.

Bustop TV was initially called PO Box TV when it was formed by Aaroni, Admire Kuzhangaira and Roland Lunga.

The three later, they parted ways with Kuzhangaira and Lunga calling their breakaway group PO Box Reloaded while Aaroni called his Bustop TV.
Aaroni expressed satisfaction with the strides Bustop TV has made over the past two years.

“We have improved by doing lots of collaborations with different Zimdancehall artistes, Jah Prayzah, Baba Shupi and others.

“We also have Doc Vikela, who is not full time with us but is part of the team.
“He has been helping us with the transition to stand-up comedy. He is responsible for grooming the ladies,” he said.Daily News
