Mhere engages Macheso dancer

Gospel musician Mathias Mhere has engaged the services of dancer Selemani “Majuice” Mpochi and CAPS United player Hardlife Zvirekwi on his upcoming “Double Double” DVD.

Majuice is dancer for Alick Macheso’s Orchestra Mberikwazvo and he is known for his stylish footwork that has made him popular in showbiz.Mhere said by roping in the two, he wanted to make a difference in his work.

“We have worked with comedians before and this time I felt we need to have new faces,” he said.

He said he will be releasing seven videos including a bonus track “Mudiwa Wemoyo”.

“We have a bonus track on the DVD that is expected to be released the first week of August,” he said.

The “Favour” hit-maker said they have adopted a new style of street launch.

“We will not be launching the DVD in a formal way like we used to do. I will personally go in the street and launch it together with my band members,” he said.

Of the 10 songs on the album, the musician has left out four.

“Double Double”, “Makorokoza Muchurch”, “Nhau YaNoah”, “Chanza” and “Nyava Yebenzi” are some of the songs that will feature on the DVD.

“We have tried to do our best to give people the word of God through the videos,” he said.

Mhere said he was overwhelmed with the response the album is getting from his fans across the country.

As a way of appreciating his fans, he has done his best in the DVD that will be distributed in most parts of the country.

“I am very happy with the response my fifth album ‘Double Double’ is getting from my fans. The album was released in February and whenever I perform people sing along to the songs,” he said.

He said after the DVD he will be performing in different parts of the country as a way of promoting the videos.

“This is so encouraging and I am going to be touring the country, meeting my fans and also giving them an opportunity to have a one-on-one with their artiste,” he said.
