Tehn Diamond in love triangle?

Rap musso Tendai “Tehn Diamond” Nguni is reportedly at the centre of a feud between Afro-fusion musician Ammara Brown and his fiancé Lorraine Charlotte Bgoya.

This also comes as another hip-hop artiste and urban groover Desmond “Stunner” Chideme has been in the news for crashing his maroon Lexus after a skidding stunt that went wrong and he rammed into four stationary vehicles in Harare last week.

Although Nguni has brushed off the allegations, reports indicate that there was tension between him and his long-time girlfriend Bgoya after Brown “reportedly stormed the former’s Avondale West home”, which she shares with her Tanzanian parents.

“…Ammara is just a friend (and) they (Bgoya and Brown) know each other and nothing like that ever happened,” he said in a telephone interview last week.

“As I said, that’s (untrue)… but if you go ahead… tinonosangana kumberi (we will meet in the future),” Nguni said menacingly and cryptically, adding; “I do not discuss my private life in public, but business”.

On her part, Bgoya declined to talk to this newspaper, insisting “even if there was a comment, I would not discuss that with you guys”.

Pressed on her fiancé’s alleged cosy relationship with Brown and her own personal relations with the Mukoko hitmaker, the east African stunner and ex-ZiFM Stereo jockey said all she knew was that they “work together, are in the same industry and Brown was just someone she knew from the music business”.

However, sources insist there was disharmony between Nguni and Bgoya, who engaged about three years ago.

“In my understanding, there is palpable unhappiness over Brown’s exact role (in Tehn Diamond’s life). Those two have an unusual, if not toxic, relationship, which has left everyone brooding and unsure such that there are wild-card theories Nguni may even be preparing to take in Ammara,” they said.

“You will know that those boys are not only slick with words, but have an eye for fair ones and it maybe in his genes,” the sources said, adding in all this “people must understand that Lochnation is the victim here”.

Catapulted to the top of the Zimbabwean rap world with songs such as Toita Happy, the 31-year-old singer is Sylvester Nguni’s son.

Meanwhile, efforts to secure comment from Brown were fruitless as her mobile phone went unanswered for much of last week.

A daughter to the late Andy Brown, the 28-year-old singer has also been linked to a variety of musicians including Rockford Josphats and Mukudzei “Jah Prayzah” Mukombe. Daily News
