Two Zimbabwe internationals who have failed to make an impact in the South African Premier Soccer League are both set for returns to their domestic league.
Ovidy Karuru, who had his contract terminated by Kaizer Chiefs, is in discussion to join ZPC Kariba, while Denver Mukamba could be back at champions Dynamos in the next weeks.
The 27-year-old Karuru, who had previously played in both France and Belgium, spent two season at Chiefs, but made only two starts for AmaKhosi – both in Nedbank Cup games against lower league opposition last year.
He was used in five league matches over the two seasons as a substitute only.
Mukamba arrived in South Africa after wining Zimbabwe’s Soccer Star of the Year award in 2012, but also failed to make an impact in the PSL.
The 23-year-old midfielder started five games for Wits in two seasons and was then loaned for the remainder of his four-year contract to the University of Pretoria and Jomo Cosmos.
Reports said Mukamba was seeking to link up again with former coach Lloyd Mutsa, with whom he previously worked. KickOff.com
