Ntini passed away earlier today after being ill for some time. He also coached Shooting Stars and Chiredzi United during his career.

A close colleague to Ntini confirmed the news to Soccer24, “Yes Ntini is no more, he lost his battle after being sick for sometime.”

The nomadic coach lead Lowveld side Triangle to the Premier League in 2012.

Ntini was never fearful to speak his mind in local football circles famously referring to himself as the “The Lion of Zimbabwean football”.

Ntini kicked off his coaching career at the Green Machine as an understudy to legendary CAPS United coach Charles Mhlauri. Ntini always spoke highly of CAPS United saying he had been born and bred by the club. Soccer24.co.zw
