VIDEO – Exiled Zimbabwe Chimurenga music legend Thomas Mapfumo is a guest on Nehanda TV in the UK and speaks to journalist Lance Guma.

The interview covers a variety of topics including the political situation in Zimbabwe (especially alleged attempts by the First Lady Grace Mugabe to take over as president), allegations he bought stolen cars when he was still in Zimbabwe.

Mapfumo also reflects on his music career, from herding goats and cattle in Marondera to being an internationally recognised music icon. Who is the best bass guitarist he has ever worked with? Would he consider a collaboration with a ZimDancehall artist?

Nehanda TV also has interviews with protest singer Raymond Majongwe and comedian/folk singer Steve “Dhongi” Makoni coming up in the next few days.
