Tracy says sorry! …fined US$50 for assault

The mother of a two year old baby, who was accusing model Tafadzwa Mushunje of deliberately infecting her son with HIV and forcing her to drink urine, said she was sorry.

Tracy Hari, 32, last week apologized to the model saying she was sorry for her actions and for slapping Tafadzwa whilst they were at Glen Norah police station.

Although she said her actions were not intentional, the mother of one also apologized to the court saying she had no right to act in the manner she did.

“I could not imagine sitting by the side of a person who could have hurt my child. I was overwhelmed by emotions. I would like to apologize to Tafadzwa Mushunje and to the court for what I did, ” she said.

But her words could not spare her from the court’s punishment as magistrate Tafadzwa Muvhami slapped her with a US$50 fine for assaulting the 24 year old model.

She was taken to court on assault charges.

The State, led by Crispen Chikafu, had it that on on February 23 Tafadzwa was arrested on allegations of deliberately transmitting an HIV virus to the two year old baby.

The duty officer then asked the mother of the child and Tafadzwa to approach the office for interviews. During the interviews, Tracy became emotional and ended up slapping Tafadzwa on the cheek. H Metro
