Tomana arrested, appears in court over bombing

Zimbabwe’s Prosecutor-General Johannes Tomana was on Monday reportedly arrested and questioned by police on allegations of obstruction of justice.

Although the details are still trickling in, its reported Tomana is in trouble for dropping charges in the Gushungo Dairy bombing case.

Tomana later  arrived at the Harare Magistrates Court Tuesday afternoon while under heavy police escort.

Although he was not in hand-cuffs, Tomana was accompanied by four detectives and several uniformed police officers including anti-riot officers.

His bail hearing is underway at the magistrates court but his charges have not been made clear yet.
