Other notable musicians that will also perform at the event are bands that emerged as champions in the country’s 10 provinces, including Zimdancehall artiste Shinsoman, sungura musician First Farai and last year’s winners of the competition, Attack Jazz Band.

Jah Prayzah’s band manager and publicist, Keen Mashapaidze told the Daily News that the Jerusarema singer was looking forward to performing at the annual event.

“This is not the first time for us to showcase at this platform. We really value the platform considering that we get to mentor and inspire upcoming musicians.

“When we were still amateurs in the industry we used to get those platforms where we shared stages with the likes of Oliver Mtukudzi and Alick Macheso among others. We really know what it means sharing the stage with veterans,” said Mashapaidze.

He added that even experienced artistes can learn a trick or two from upcoming musicians.

“Apart from inspiring the Chibuku Road to Fame finalists, we also get to learn from them. It is a win-win situation,” said Jah Prayzah’s band manager adding that the award-winning artiste will also perform at the Police Commissioner Funfair in Harare and Mashonaland East Agricultural show in Marondera on the same day.
