Pardon Mandunguza, of No.8768 Nhewe Rd Budiriro 5B appeared at the Harare magistrates’ court charged with murder.

The 23 year old man was asked not to plead to the charges when he appeared before magistrate Tendai Mahwe, who remanded him in custody.

Magistrate Mahwe also advised him to approach the High Court for bail application.

Mandunguza is standing accused of murdering Unity Gondo of No.10604 Budiriro 5A.

The State, led by Prosecutor Sebastian Mutizirwa, had it that on July 11, Mandunguza was on his way to Changamire Night Club in Budiriro 5B when he met Unity.

It is said Mandunguzav then asked the 22 year old sex worker for her services.

Reports are that Unity charged Mandunguza US$5 for her services and they agreed to go to his house.

The two reportedly had sex.

It is the State’s case that Mandunguza started accusing Unity of stealing his US$30 after the session.

Allegations are that the 23 year old picked an unknown object and hit Unity at the back of her head.

Prosecutor Mutizirwa had it that Unity bled profusely from the wound she sustained after being attacked by Mandunguza which resulted in her death.

Mandunguza was arrested as he was busy burning the deceased’s skin tights in a bid to conceal evidence, according to the State.

He was also reportedly spotted with blood on his jean trousers. H Metro
