HARARE – A 65 year old Mbare man is at loggerheads with his married daughter who is accusing him of using mubobobo on her. Peter Kwenda told H Metro that he is not happy with the way his own daughter, Winfred Kwenda, 36, is treating him and accusing him off casting evil spirits on her.
“It’s really disheartening; my own daughter accusing me of having sex with her using evil means of which all those allegations are false. My hands are clean.
“I have never used mobobobo on her and she once called me to go to Bulawayo where she resides so that we visit a traditional healer about the issue. I went there only for her husband to beat me up, ” he said sobbing.
H Metro is in possession of the message that Winfred sent her father.
“Saka ku Ceregem ndokwandichanobatsirwa kuti urege kundibobodza? Benzi rababa rinochiva vanakadzi saka ndokuva responsible kwacho ikoko nxa you thought I don’t know it’s you uzvimire izvozvo,” reads part of the message that Winfred sent to her father.
When reached for comment, Winfred confessed:
“That mubobobo story is a family issue but since you insist, I will tell you the whole story.
“It’s not a secret that my father uses mubobobo on me. He admitted it, and is even angry with me for getting married,” said Winfred.
She said she is happily married and has five kids but during the night she had sex with an unknown man.
“Kana ndakarara ndoona ndichirarwa nemunhu andisingaone and it hurts me since my father admits he is the one who causes that.”
She did not have any kind words for her father and even accused him of casting evil spirits on her husband.
“My dad is capable of doing anything. When I got married in 2002 he refused to accept my bride price only for my husband to go mad and he was discharged from his job as a soldier.
“My father claims that he is the one who caused that,” she said. H Metro
