MUTOKO – Business came to a standstill at Mutoko Growth Point as vendors jostled to witness a council grader which was about to demolish a building which had been declared an “illegal” structure.
With the crowd growing, the grader drove away temporarily from the terminus only to come back around 3am in the morning to demolish the building.
A Citizen Reporter who spoke to Nehanda Radio said “Its a Mutoko Rural Development Council building, one which used to be the public toilets at the bus terminus before it was disused for the past seven years.
“A young brother to former senator Jacob had tried to renovate the building into “corner shops.” It is not clear on how he had gone to an extent of renovating the building.”
