But villagers told Studio 7 that government intensified its intimidation tactics by allegedly deploying people it claimed were from the Census Bureau, causing pandamoneum at the farm as villagers ran for dear life fearing they were anti-riot police.

On Friday, the villager’s lawyer, Tonderai Bhatasara, filed an urgent court application asking the court to remove 200 zebras that had been released onto the farm that villagerws claim are grazing on their crops and have become a nightmare to their children.

Those cited in the court application are Home Affairs Minister Kembo Mohadi, Environment Minister Saviour Kasukuwere, Police Commissioner General Augustine Chihuri and trustees of national park.

Bhatasara told VOA Studio 7 that by the end of the day, he had not yet received communication from the high court on the matter.

Manzou villager, Tichaona Mabhuru says there was total chaos when the so-called census people descended on the farm. VOA
