A stage-managed Zanu PF demonstration against former presidential affairs minister Didymus Mutasa produced some humourous if not vulgar banners and regalia at the Harare International Airport.

The pick of the lot would have to be this lady who had the words “Shut up Didymus” emblazoned on her buttocks. This was a clear play on the first four letters of Mutasa’s name which in Ndebele would be almost a similar pronunciation for ones rear end.
Hundreds of Zanu PF youths waiting for the arrival of President Mugabe from his long holiday demonstrated against Didymus Mutasa on Thursday.
Mutasa has angered the Zanu PF faction loyal to Mugabe and his Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa after writing a hard-hitting statement claiming the congress held in December was null and void as it was unconstitutional and marred by intimidation and victimisation.
There are now calls for Mutasa’s expulsion.
