Bus crash claims more than 20 lives
A crash involving two buses along the Harare -Nyamapanda highway has claimed at least 23 lives. The buses sideswiped each other in opposite directions leading to gross damage.
It is believed that one vehicle belongs to Zupco while the other one to Unifreight. As yet unconfirmed reports say that two more people died on the way to hospital.

One of them is believed to be one of the bus drivers. The police have indicated that they will issue a statement shortly.
Eye-witnesses attributed the accident to speeding by both drivers.
They called on relevant authorities to put signs for motorists to reduce speed at the place which they say is a blind spot.
Police are yet to confirm the number of casualties.
