Deputy Minister Simon Musanhu dies

The Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Climate Simon Musanhu has died. Musanhu is said to have collapsed and died yesterday at his home in Chisipite, Harare.

Musanhu, who was the MP for Hwedza North, was appointed deputy minister in September 2013 in a Cabinet announced by President Mugabe.

Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course as relatives are still gathering at his home.

Only three weeks ago the state media accused Musanhu of actively supporting “the treacherous campaign for ex-Vice President Dr Joice Mujuru to topple President Mugabe.”
