Soccer commentator Ezra ‘Tshisa’ Sibanda says the club will have serious challenges in hosting big clubs like Dynamos, Highlanders, Caps United and others.

He says, “They have to move from Tsholotsho and come to play in Bulawayo or have a homeground in Bulawayo.

In Tsholotsho they have a huge fan base and can pack their stadium with up to 3,000 people … But when they come to Bulawayo it means they will be playing in an empty stadium because people in the city support big clubs like Highlanders.”

Club chairman Mlamuli Phiri has already indicated that they want to stay put at their hunting ground, Mbute, which according to the Premier Soccer League is far below standard.

This is the first time a team in rural Tsholotsho, Matabeleland North province, has been promoted into the top-flight soccer league. VOA
