Below is how the whole day unfolded…….
10:00: Delegates are flocking in for the 5th day of the Zanu (PF) congress.
Among them are Simbaneuta Mudarikwa, Sydney Sekeramayi, Biggie Matiza, David Chapfika, Angeline Masuku, Ignatius Chombo, Goodwills Masimirembwa and Timothy Stamps.
Situation is calm as jingles praising President Robert Mugabe are being played in the background
10:10: Master of ceremony chants anti-Mujuru slogans that generate wild cheers from the delegates who have gathered so far. He chants “Pasi naJoice Mujuru! Pasi negamatox!” Joseph Chinotimba, Paddy Zhanda and Oliver Mandipaka arrive.
10:40: Chinotimba takes to the stage with anti-Mujuru jokes that are met with loud applause from the delegates. Cephas Msipa arrives amid slogans denigrating Mujuru as the MC urges delegates to chant the slogans in unison. Josiah Hungwe arrives as well.
11:45: Delegates are pouring in in big numbers as they anticipate Mugabe’s arrival.
11:50: War vets leader, Chris Mutsvangwa, arrives, and Dzikamai Mavhaire follows. Mugabe has not yet arrived
12:27: Singer and war vet, Cde Chinx, ignores calls for him to leave the stage as he sings “Hondo yeMinda”
12:30: The congress venue is now almost filled to capacity
12:32: Mavhaire, who is also the energy minister, is booed by a section of the crowd which is complaining about power shortages. The crowd loudly urges Mugabe to sort things out at ZESA.
12.34 A young primary school pupil, enrolled at the First Lady’s school in Mazowe is unpacking ZIMASSET.
12.39 Sulumani Chimbetu is now performing on stage with the POLICE band.
12:54 National Chairman S.K.Moyo arrives accompanied by, E. Mnangagwa;S.K.Moyo takes to the podium and chants party slogan
13:00 President Mugabe arrives accompanied by the First Lady, delegates erupt into song, ‘Musaputse Sungano’ as the first family waves
13:10 Mudenda says the the first recommendation is to endorse President #Mugabe as their presidential candidate for 2018 elections.
13.10 The party also resolved to support the nomination of the First Lady to the Politburo and also increase war veterans benefits.

13.17 STATE OF THE ECONOMY REPORT ON FOOD AND NUTRITION to be presented by Dr Joseph Made.
13:22 Made urges more financial support for farmers. He also warns companies and individuals against duping people in the name of the party.
13:25 Made also recommends that the Government reconsiders the installation of prepaid electricity meters to farmers
13:31 Dr Joseph Made wraps up his speech to pave way for Sithembiso Nyoni who was chairing a Social Services and Poverty reduction committee.
13:39 Sithembiso Nyoni’s presentation touches programmes to create new jobs and embark on small and medium scale enterprising.
14:07 Douglas Mombeshora presents on Land Reform,says and recommends that government the ONE FARM ONE MAN POLICY.
14:27 Women also endorse President Mugabe as Zanu PF candidate for 2018 election and also the elevation of Grace Mugabe
14:32 The congress adopts the resolutions presented by Muchinguri and Moyo invites the Secretary for Youth League to present
