Zanu PF terror chief Jim Kunaka beaten up

HARARE – The vicious infighting in Zanu PF on Wednesday saw one of its terror chiefs, Jim Kunaka, being assaulted by what we understand are Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) agents at Carter House in Mbare.

Nehanda Radio understands that Kunaka who leads the notorious Chipangano terror group was abducted by four unidentified men who claimed they were arresting him. When he resisted, he was assaulted before being shoved into a car, blindfolded and driven to an area near the Harare International Airport.

Kunaka who is also the former Zanu PF Harare Provincial Youth Chairman, is currently admitted at the Avenues Clinic where he is being treated for injuries.

“They approached me as people who wanted to talk to me but later assaulted me to force me to comply with their orders. The other one produced a pistol and as I resisted for a while a crowd gathered.

“When they saw the crowd, the other guy produced an AK 47 rifle which he fired in the air and the people scampered for dear life. That is when they put me in the car and assaulted me,” Kunaka said.

Kunaka, himself a violent thug who has abducted and tortured dozens of opposition activists vowed “I will never leave Zanu PF, this will not deter me from following what I believe in.”

Contacted for comment, police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi confirmed that a report of assault on Kunaka had been filed at Harare Central Police Station and that investigations are underway.
