I would like to thank the First Lady Grace Mugabe for her sobering assessment of our country and its present leadership. As you know our society shuns constructive debate and strives on rumor mongering.
It will be foolhardy for those ZANU-(PF) officials stampeding for positions to ignore your warning. A cross-sectional look at the whole country reveals the rot in ZANU-PF and it was high time you stood up and did the right thing for us.
Like the First Lady, I am appalled by the actions of some Zimbabwean leaders. Do I need to add on what you said about the drama unfolding in Matebeleland? No. Yes the First Lady is 100% spot on; with such free drama, how can Zimbabwe ever have a ruler from Matebeleland?
What about Masvingo and this Mbudzi guy with his plagiarized,”I Beg Your Pardon cde Grace” in the Masvingo Mirror; what a disgrace to our province. How could he bring Mnangagwa in the First Lady’s straight talk about factionalism in the province? This is mere foolishness.
Do I need to remind Mbudzi that Grace is still the First Lady and still married to the President and as far as I know she went back home to her husband after every meeting. How did Mnangagwa all of a sudden become a piece of the puzzle?
Did the First Lady meet with Mnangagwa before and after each and every one of her rally to consult him on what she was going to say on the stage? Please help me, I did not attend the rallies therefore my assumptions might be wrong.
Let me add that Mbudzi must know that President Mugabe does not need to send his wife to go and denounce factionalism in order to promote/appoint Mnangagwa?
The First Lady already told you that, “the President is empowered by the party constitution to appoint people of his choice?” If he wants Mnangagwa to be his Vice President then he will appoint Mnangagwa to be his Vice President. He does not need Mbudzi’s advice.
And when did Mugabe become Mbudzi’s dear leader and ZANU-PF his party. Is this not the same guy who was facing charges of plotting to overthrow the government? Who really has amnesia here?
Just to set the record straight, I am not attacking our leaders. My issues with our leaders are merely competency issues. Most of them are lazy and have failed to demonstrate good leadership skills.
Some act like Mnangagwa’s challengers yet they are there, they are in the Presidium. Mnangagwa is a number fourteen on the seniority list in ZANU-PF as we were told by Rugare Gumbo. Help me understand how he is such a big threat to members of the Presidium?
Leaders must never align themselves with certain people. A national leader has to care for every Jack and Jill not only the preferred ones; this breeds cronyism and corruption. A national leader does not play kiya-kiya politics. A national leader stimulates debate about important national issues.
Just look at the First Lady, she is provocative, and say things as they are. She is not into gossip; everywhere she went, she said things as they are. She called on Ndebele man; she called on Ray Kaukonde; she forged a Harare unity; she even told her detractors to go and ask for forgiveness from the President. What else can you expect in life?
The First Lady has raised pertinent issues of leadership; corruption; economy; social; gender; youth; and politics. These are all important issues that require a serious national dialogue. The country all of a sudden has been awakened and is talking. That is leadership not the usual heap of threats that we have been accustomed to.
I feel challenged by the First Lady and am willing to share my idea that can jumpstart the economy during this festive season. Implemented today, my idea can generate $100,000,000.00 for the Government in the next two months.
I don’t need any “cut”; I just need to help the Government help people. I challenge Patrick Chinamasa to contact me so we can have a serious discussion.
