Stella Nyamutowera dragged Patience Sunday to court demanding the ring back. She successfully applied for a peace order against Sunday, who she accused of ruining her marriage.

“I want her to give me back my husband’s wedding band which she removed from his finger a day after our wedding,” she said.

Nyamutowera told Harare Civil Court magistrate Ms Audrey Tarugarira that Sunday was also in the habit of sending pornographic videos to her husband’s mobile phone.

“She detains my husband at her house and sometimes calls me using my husband’s mobile phone telling me that they are having a good time ,” said Nyamutowera.

Nyamutowera claimed Sunday threatened to kill her using juju.

“She once seriously injured my husband after striking him with a log on the head,” she said.

Nyamutowera said her husband was no longer interested in Sunday, but was afraid of dumping her.

Sunday denied snatching the ring saying Nyamutowera’s husband forgot the wedding band at her house.

She claimed she was also married to Nyamutowera’s husband.

Ms Tarugarira granted the peace order and barred Sunday from insulting, threatening or harassing Nyamutowera. The Herald
