A 21-year-old University of Zimbabwe student, Godfrey ‘Flawa’ Makawa, died in unclear circumstances and his body was found in a swimming pool at the campus on Wednesday afternoon.

Police spokesperson, Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
He said the body of the student, has since been retrieved and sent to Parirenyatwa Hospital for a post mortem.
It is not yet clear whether the death was due to drowning or otherwise and police are still carrying out investigations to ascertain what might have happened.
The Zim dancehall music fraternity on Wednesday showed solidarity as it mourned the budding musician and producer.
Flawa had just clinched a deal with internationally recognised record stable Abra Tribe Records led by Tawanda ‘Jusa’ Sibotshiwe and Simukai ‘Simmz’ Mandizvidza.
Both co-owners are respectively based in the United Kingdom and Bangladesh.
Flawa made his debut on radio three weeks ago when Judgment Yard selector DJ Flevah played his music on their show on Zi-FM Stereo and since then his music has been on demand by Judgment Yard listeners.
His song was on the In Your Arms riddim produced by Jusa and Abra Simmz.
The riddim also features Ras Caleb of the Tokwe-Mukosi fame.
DJ Flevah said he was shocked that such budding talent had been taken so early.
“I was shocked to learn of the young man’s death. I played his music for three weeks in a row due to my listeners’ requests and it’s so sad. May his soul rest in peace,” said DJ Flevah.
