HARARE – Organisers of the much hyped John Legend concert in Zimbabwe have issued a very cryptic statement blaming ‘logistical challenges” for a decision to cancel the singer’s show in Harare that had been set for the 19 November.

Davies Events the local partner released a statement provided by Big Concerts, which said:
‘Due to unforeseen logistical challenges in moving the show between Cape Town, Harare and the recently added Durban show, Big Concerts regrets to advise that John Legend’s Harare concert, scheduled for 19th November 2014 has been cancelled.
“The refund procedure for ticket holders will be advised in the local press and radio as well as on the local promoter’s website shortly.
“We will continue to support the Zimbabwe market and look forward to announcing the next International Artist scheduled to perform in Harare early 2015 in the next few weeks.”
Full face value refunds will take place from Wednesday 1 October to Friday 3 October 2014 at Ster Kinekor, Sam Levy’s Village, Borrowdale.
Meanwhile Big Concerts have added an extra show in Johannesburg on the day that John Legend was supposed to be performing in Harare.
