Music promoter loses house to bank

HARARE – It never rains but pours for popular music promoter Josphat Hozheri whose Bluffhill house is set to be auctioned for failure to settle a debt.
Josh Hozheri, as he is popularly known, recently had his Jazz 105 closed and is set to lose his house number 2446 in Bluffhill auctioned by Ruby Auctions on behalf of the Central African Building Society (CABS).
The house consisting of three bedrooms, two lounges, a dining, kitchen, toilet and bathroom built on a 938 square metre piece of land cited under case number SS134/13 will be sold at a public auction slated for today (Friday) at the Raylton Sports Club.
Several efforts to get a comment from Hozheri have been fruitless as his mobile phone was not answered on numerous occasions.
Hozheri is the current proprietor of Ice & Fire Pamuzinda formerly Pamuzinda Highway Xscape.
Recently, he made headlines after one of his shows, the Winter Jazz festival which was held at the City Sports Centre, turned out to be a massive flop.
The show attracted Zimbabwean performers like Oliver Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah and Sulumani “Sulu” Chimbetu but failed to live to expectations.
He eventually laid the blame on a United Family International Church gathering that was held at the same venue earlier as the reason behind the low turnout. The Herald
