HARARE – In Dzivarasekwa Extension there is a cooperative called Nehanda Housing Cooperative headed by a war veteran called Kowo. People have been contributing since 2002.

Now the cooperative management, Kowo and secretary Mataruka, a bodyguard of President Mugabe with high rank, have engaged an estate agent all in the name of greed, sucking money from the masses who are desperate for houses. The pictures show the details of the agreement. This looks like a rip off.

Here is a case study.

1. Someone joined in 2004  allocated a stand 200 square metres.  They valued the place at US$9 600
2.  From 2004  to date they say his contribution is US$2 400
3.  The period of zim dollar and bearer cheques 2004-2009 is valued at US$45 per year presently is US$60 per month, not knowing the rate they used to exchange.
4. The base at which corporatives were founded is lost
5. The land was received for free from government for low cost houses now its on sale. Big business they are doing
6. Kowo built himself a very big house using the contributions.
7. Most of people who got houses are related to these criminals  and some had to buy their way.
8. A completed house is valued at US$19 000, a simple block has with 2 bedrooms.
9. They used these houses to campaign in 2013 elections.  Zanu PF is corrupt.
