NYASHA Mushekwi looks likely to return to Belgium in the new season with Mamelodi Sundowns stalling on making a decision over his future.

The Zimbabwe international striker, who is in rehabilitation from a knee injury, returned to Chloorkop when his loan spell at Belgian side KV Oostende came to an end last month.
But with their foreign quota already full, it looks unlikely that Sundowns will make space for the striker in their Premier Soccer League squad, and the player has indicated no interest to remain at Chloorkop.
Mushekwi’s agent Ralph Nkomo has told Zimbabwe’s Herald newspaper that two Belgian sides have expressed interest in the 26-year-old and that one of those is former side Oostende, the home of Bafana Bafana midfielder Andile Jali.
“The transfer window will be closing within two months and there are two clubs that have shown an interest in him and one of them is the one to which he was attached,” Nkomo said.
“The Belgium clubs have shown an interest in him and the representatives of the club he was at even came down for discussions with Sundowns, but a final decision has not been reached yet.
“I will also be going to Belgium next week and I am sure the picture will become clearer when I return but obviously any team that he goes to in Europe it would be subject to him passing a medical, that is why we have to get him fit first.”
Mushekwi injured his knee in March and remains some time away from full fitness.
He scored just twice in Belgium in his first season.
But Oostende value his powerful running up front and his ability to bring teammates into the game. His two goals came in 13 starts and seven substitute appearances. Sowetan
