Jah Prayzah to grace Culture Spears launch

HARARE – Popular Botswana musical group, Culture Spears, has invited Jah Prayzah to perform in their country at the launch of their new album, Kulanche, on August 1.
The multiple National Arts Merit Awards (Nama) winner’s forthcoming tour of Botswana follows the featuring of Culture Spears’s Charma Gal on Jah Prayzah’s latest album Kumbumura Mhute.
Apart from her duet with Jah Payzah on the song Dali Wami, the talented Tswana songbird, who was born Magdeline Lesolebe-Chagwa, also graced the launch of Kumbumura Mhute at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on April 17 this year.
The Tsviriyo hit-maker, who will be performing in Botswana for the first time, is determined to use the opportunity to popularise himself.
“I am really looking forward to performing in neighbouring Botswana for the first time,” the Uzumba-born artiste told the Daily News. “I am very delighted because I am going to announce my arrival on that market at such a colourful event and I can assure you that we will deliver a top-notch presentation as usual.
“As soldiers we always meet challenges that come our way head on.”
The 27-year-old rising Zimbabwean artiste added that featuring Charma Gal on Kumbumura Mhute is turning out to be a master stroke.
“Reports coming from Botswana show that Dali Wami has generated a lot of interest there.
Collaborating with Charma Gal is really turning out to be inspired decision .We are very confident that we will soon be a big brand in Botswana,” said the Makanika singer.
Jah Prayzah, who conceded that his latest album started on a low note, said he has been overjoyed by the way fans are suddenly warming up to the project.
“My previous albums Rudo Nerunyararo, Sungano Yerudo, Ngwarira Kuparara and Tsviriyo were more up-tempo than our latest album.
“We were always confident that the album’s quality would eventually shine through and we have been proved right.
“I will always insist that Kumbumura Mhute is one of my best albums to date.” Daily News
