Former and current employees of Air Zimbabwe will hold their second annual re-union celebration in the United Kingdom on Saturday.

One of the organisers told Nehanda Radio that AirZim The Reunion group (AZTR) was inviting friends and family members to join their celebration in Corby this coming Saturday from 7pm.
“Amongst other important issues, AZTR has identified the need to support one another in times of bereavement. Many people find the issue of death and dying a difficult subject to discuss. However death is inevitable and like a thief in the night one may depart, ready or not,” she said.
“Lack of resources/insufficient planning for this certain life event has left some families in stressful and desperate situations when loved ones have died in the diaspora. Some have had to seek help from the Zimbabwean communities in the diaspora through social media in their time of need.”
She said this is why their group is trying to come in and provide financial and emotional support to its members in the diaspora in times of bereavement.
“We have AZTR members in all corners of the world and our representatives will be there to stand with it’s member in their time of need, helping with issues like arranging repatriation of the deceased, funeral and burial services, etc. We will be there for our members in their time of need,” she said.
