Musona basking in hat-trick glory

Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona is basking in the glory of a spectacular hat-trick that saw his club beat Liga Muculmana 3-0 in their Caf Champions League, first round, second leg, tie in Maputo, Mozambique, on Saturday.

Chiefs added three to their already impressive 4-0 score line during the first leg in Durban last week, sealing an emphatic 7-0 aggregate win which sees them safely into the second round of the continent’s premier tournament.

South African premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs are clearly reaping the rewards of getting the Zimbabwean striker on a season-long loan from German outfit Hoffenheim.

Chiefs sold Musona to the Germans in August 2011 but he struggled to establish himself in the German side and was sent out on loan first to Bundesliga side FC Augsburg on a one-year loan before being loaned back to Chiefs.
