Soldiers beat up policeman in Harare (pictures)

There was mayhem in Harare this evening as a group of Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) soldiers beat up a policeman they accused of  ‘harassing’ the crew of a commuter omnibus owned by one of the soldiers. 

According to a Nehanda Radio Citizen Reporter who sent these pictures the policeman was beaten up at the corner of Albion and Nehanda streets in Harare. About seven soldiers were involved in the attack and left the policeman for dead.

The wounded officer, who was bleeding from the head and mouth, was later taken by one police inspector in a Toyota Raum vehicle.
