Breastfeeding girlfriend gets support

The Glen Norah girlfriend who made headlines for breastfeeding her boyfriend’s child has gained support from the boyfriend’s parents who have also dumped the ailing wife admitted at Harare central Hospital.
However, Regina Evans (21), who has all the support from the in-laws said she is ready to look after the ailing Rachel Mangirazi and Malvin Shangwa’s three months old baby claiming that she is the second wife.
Regina took Gogo Besa to Glen Norah police station on Thursday accusing her of making falsehoods that she caught her breastfeeding Rachel’s baby.
“I have all the support from Malvin’s parents and I am the one who is helping him with paying Rachel’s medical bills because I am a landlady following the death of my parents,” said Regina.
“Malvin has since left his family home to stay with in Glen Norah A and I am not going back on looking after Rachel’s child.
“Gogo Besa and Malvin lied to you that I breast fed the child for I can afford to buy milk to feed the child and I have been doing this for the past three weeks and remember that I am a landlady.
“Malvin is now staying with me at my house because I am a landlady and he paid lobola although he is not gainfully employed.”
Malvin’s mother Rose Shangwa (56) told H-Metro that Rachel had to go back to her parents when she leaves Harare Central Hospital.
“Regina is now my new daughter in-law and I stand by her for looking after the baby because Rachel has been cruel to my son,” said Gogo Rose.
“I appreciate that she has been with my son for almost nine years but after being discharged from hospital she must go back to her parents,” she fumed.
“Rachel’s relatives took Malvin to the police over their differences and today they want us to stand with them on medical bills forgetting the past.
“Malvin’s sister is the one who took the child from Gogo Besa and gave it to Regina because she is ever busy at her work and Regina complied,” said Gogo Rose.
When H-Metro left Regina was still at Glen Norah police station waiting to make a police report against Gogo Besa who was with the child after Malvin allegedly dumped his ailing wife, Rachel. H Metro
