Tembelami releases a new energetic video

The Tinomurumbidza gospel hit maker Tembelami has maintained his musical signature by releasing another adrenalin paced video – Hande. An open invitation for people to worship.

The video features Wellington Kwenda and Melz and is the first single from his forthcoming album Tembelami and Friends. The Album will feature a host of local and regional artists.

‘My main goal is to bring together musicians from different nations and different backgrounds into a unified body of Christ’ said Tembelami.

The evangelical artist hails from the Celebration Church and has broken boundaries to perform and produce music with artists outside his traditional church. ‘People would expect me to do music with our choir only but this album will see me doing songs with CCAP Voice of Mbare and Priestly of Covenant Praise’.

Tembelami has grown as a gospel artist after starting off his musical career with the group Xtra-Large. The artist attributes his musical focus to his mentor Pastor Benjamin Dube and acknowledges the support he gets from his good friend Sebastian Magacha who is currently riding high with his single One plus One.

The second video from the album Tembelami and Friends – CCAP Voice of Mbare is due for release on the 28th February. Tembelami has been on international tours, the most recent being the UK tour with ZimPraise at the close of 2013.

Chronicling his journey as progressive, Tembelami has also seen his second album, “Faith Aid Kit”, with five songs featured in the Power FM Top 20 charts, with “Mhanya” and “Bayethe” getting to number one.

On Star FM, four songs from “Faith Aid Kit” hit the Top 20 charts with “Handidzokere Shure” hitting top spot and “Mhanya” peaking at number six. In the annual Radio Zimbabwe Top 100 Hits of 2013, “Bayethe” was voted number fourteen by the nation.

On the Buddie Beatz platform Tembelami has the highest number of song downloads with over 40 000 downloads to date. At this pace, his evangelical stance seems unstoppable.
