The score line could have been bigger had the gold miners been sharper in front of goal in the early stages of the game when their players took turns to miss the target despite dominating proceedings.

How Mine coach Philani Ncube said: “”I am happy with the result although I would have been happier had we scored more goals and we have to do our home work properly when we play away in the second leg because we cannot afford to rest on our laurels as they (Chuoni) can also score four goals in their backyard.”

The second leg will be played in Zanzibar next weekend and How Mine will have to watch out for bustling Chuoni striker George Thomas Mokoba, who was responsible for all their attempts at goal throughout the match. Daily News
