Dynamos crowned Zimbabwe champions

Defending champions Dynamos were again crowned champions of Zimbabwean football for a third year in a row after a 2-0 win over Black Mambas at Rufaro Stadium was helped by a 2-2 draw between the day’s log leaders Harare City and Caps United.

Bulawayo giants Highlanders who were also in with a chance of winning the title if Dynamos and Harare City had slipped managed to beat Shabanie Mine 3-1 in the other tie but the result counted for nothing as they lost out on goal difference.

All three top teams Dynamos, Highlanders and Harare City finished on 54 points but the Glamour Boys nicked it on goal difference. With the 2-0 defeat to Dynamos, police side Black Mambas was relegated after other results did not go their way.
