MUTARE – The MDC-T parliamentary candidate for Dangamvura-Chikanga Arnold Tsunga was arrested by police in Mutare on Saturday for allegedly holding an unauthorised rally.

Arnold Tsunga arrestedIn this picture captured by a Nehanda Radio Citizen Reporter Tsunga and a volunteer can be seen locked inside the yard at Dangamvura police station. We understand he was later released around 4pm after paying a US$20 fine.

Elsewhere MDC-T activist and lawyer, Jacob Mafume, was barred from holding a campaign rally at an open space in the Southlea Park suburb also on Saturday. Mafume, is the aspiring legislator for Harare South constituency.
