The “Gochi Gochi” hitmaker has had a good run during live shows where he has left fans asking for more following the launch of his latest album “Tsviriyo”. While the show at Jazz 105 will be a farewill gig, the tour of the UK would give the award-winning artiste the chance to market his album.

Fans in the Diaspora will also have the opportunity to see Jah Prayzah and his 3rd Generation Band perform the popular “soldier dance”. The 10-track album was launched in March this year and has already become a party anthem at social gathering.

It is against this background that Jah Prayzah has decided to launch the album in the Diaspora. The tour will be his second following another successful excursion last year. So successful was the gig that he lured a British saxophonist who could not resist his music.

Chris Oswell, a 33-year-old saxophonist from Coventry, UK, spent two months with Jah Prayzah before returning back to his country. Speaking from his base in Coventry, the saxophonist said that he was impressed by Jah Prayzah’s performance during their debut tour and could not resist joining them.

“The performance of the 3rd Generation made me fall in love with the band. They are organised and their fusion of jazz and traditional beats plus their unique dances is simply out of this world,” said Oswell.

“I am excited that I joined the band because their music is so beautiful. I still feel that was a great opportunity in my music career because I played with an African band.” Show promoter Partson “Chipaz” Chimbodza said the farewell gig promises fireworks.

“I think Jah Prayzah is doing well at the moment and we are delighted to present his last show. Hopefully, it will be a great show considering his latest hits “Sisiriya” and “Tsviriyo” which are favourites of many,” he said.
