A Chitungwiza man was seriously burnt and lost his facial skin after being scalded with water by his wife who accused him of infidelity.
Joice Muhambi (25) of Unit L in the same town will perform 420 hours of community service after being convicted on her own plea of guilty to assault charges. Muhambi appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Ms Olivia Mariga.
Ms Mariga sentenced her to a 12-month wholly suspended prison term on condition she carries out the unpaid work at Seke 13 Primary School. Prosecutor Mr Felix Tawengwa proved that on September 11, Ranganai Kapfudzaruva (30) invited his sister to his place after he had a misunderstanding with Muhambi.
Muhambi was accusing Kapfudzaruva of having an affair. This was after Kapfudzaruva received a text message. Irked by her husband’s response, she took a pot with boiling water and poured it on Kapfudzaruva. The Herald
