When the police arrived on the scene they called an ambulance. By 3:30am his death had been confirmed. Details remain sketchy but there was a suggesting the ambulance crew did try to resuscitate him but without any luck.

A message from Caston Matewu sent to Nehanda Radio read “I am sorry to learn of the death of Leader Matambanadzo and wish to express my deepest sympathy on behalf of the MDC-UK Youth Assembly. We in the Youth Assembly appreciate the honor he brought to our Party by his achievements.”

“He will be remembered not only for his ever presence and vigor but also for his willingness to share his time and expertise with his colleagues and especially us the Youth just three months ago when he kindly hosted the Independence commemorations on behalf of the Youth.

“I last saw him that day wearing a Free Solomon Madzore t-shirt. It would be difficult to measure the impact he has had on the many people’s lives he touched, personally and professionally,” Matewu wrote. Nehanda Radio
