Reggae/dancehall star Winky D a.k.a Di Bigman arrived in Australia last week to once again rekindle his romance with his Diaspora fans.
The singer’s visit in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth last year was met with great enthusiasm, pomp and fanfare as some adoring fans went ecstatic and kissed his shoes during his electric performance.
True to his quintessential form as a social advocate, the “vicar for the ghetto youths” promised yet another mesmerising act during his “Sando Dzangu Tour”. The tour will feature his hot tracks, “Sando Dzangu”, “Wakasara”, “Taitirana”, “Ninja Saturday” and “First Sight”.
Winky D, the multi-award winning artiste, was recently voted the People’s Choice at the National Arts Merit Awards (Nama) 2012. According to Winky D’s publicist, Jonathan Banda, the tour will have something for everyone.
“As in the track ‘Sando Dzangu’, Winky D will invoke his Australian fans to live life in the present and to give due respect to the living.
“So far, he has received one such pat on the back, well maybe even better. Sando Dzangu Tour promises to resonate even more with the Aussie audience, taking it back to the nostalgia of his last tour. And this time Winky D promises even more,” Banda said.
It is believed that the “Sando Dzangu Tour” will follow on the success of his previous tour.
