Speaking to Nehanda Radio.com Chamisa confirmed that he will be arriving in the UK on Saturday. “This trip is intended to reenergise, refocus, revitalise and repackage our party to deliver ultimate victory when election time comes.

“There have been a lot of developments in the country and we would like to engage with Zimbabweans around the issues of democratic reforms, the constitution and the elections, so that they feel they are part of the national discourse. It’s their country too,” he said.

Chamisa’s delegation will meet with the party’s UK and Ireland External Assembly on Saturday morning followed by a rally which will open to the public. Chamisa will also speak at a fund-raising dinner later in the evening.

The rally will take place between 2PM and 6PM on Saturday at the Ladywood Arts and Leisure Centre in Birmingham [B16 8TR]. The fund-raising dinner [8PM-11PM] costs £30 per head and attendance is by registration. For further information call Grey Samakande on 07805925038 or Victor Karonga on 07403128801
