According to Media, Information and Publicity Minister Webster Shamu “he is back in town. He was in his office and was holding meetings on national healing. As we speak, he is walking out of the office to drive home. Just like anyone else he goes for regular check-ups.”

A South African paper reported that the 76 year old Nkomo collapsed at his Harare home. He was “weak and unable to walk unaided.” At the clinic, his condition was considered to be life-threatening, and doctors advised him to stay in for observation,” The Mail reported.
