Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai on Saturday morning took time from his busy schedule to visit a house he once used as a home in the 1970s at Chisamba Singles in Sakubva, Mutare. He was in Mutare to tour several government institutions in the city.

Business came to a standstill as residents came to see him. The residents were stunned when the MDC-T leader showed them that he vividly remembered the route to the room he once stayed. He could even remember the house number and some of his former neighbours.

In a few seconds, the place was fully packed as people rushed from all ends to see Tsvangirai admiring the house he once stayed at. Everyone was surprised to see the PM having a light moment with the residents from the dusty streets of Sakubva.

The residents were very excited to see Tsvangirai in Sakubva unexpectedly and the place was packed full in no time. Chisamba Singles is one of the oldest locations in Sakubva, Mutare.

Tsvangirai was accompanied on the trip by Paurina Mpariwa, the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, MPs and councillors.
