Zanu PF trying to spin the unspinnable

Just in case there are some who are trying to spin the unspinnable or not yet sure of what happened at Sunday’s SADC Extraordinary Summit for Zimbabwe, well , the truth and facts of the matter are that SADC did not just NOTE the Livingstone Summit resolutions, but it also EFFECTIVELY ENDORSED them (SADC noted and endorsed the Livingstone Summit resolutions)much to the chagrin of Mr Mugabe and ZANU PF who misguidedly wanted those Livingstone resolutions to be thrown out.

And in this case, Noted must be understood in the context of the whole Communique and the whole broader Zimbabwe case which was before the Sadc Summit in which the majority people of Zimbabwe wanted the Livingstone Resolutions to be noted and endorsed by SADC and on the other hand there was a tiny minority of Mr Mugabe and his ZANU PF faction who wanted those Livingstone Summit Resolutions not to be noted and endorsed (to be thrown out to be blunt) because they wanted to continue their reign and rule of tyranny, terror, violence and dictatorship in Zimbabwe against the will , wishes and legitimate demands and aspirations of the majority people of Zimbabwe and SADC.

In that context ” When it is said that SADC noted the Livingstone Summit Resolutions”, it means the SADC Summit acknowledged, accepted, voted in favor of the relevance, merit, worthiness, legitimacy of the RESOLUTIONS WHICH WERE MADE AT THE PREVIOUS SADC SUMMIT IN LIVINGSTONE ZAMBIA and these resolutions directly, openly and publicly condemned Mr Mugabe and ZANU PF for inflicting and imposing violence upon the civilians, and which also endorsed the legitimate demands, wishes and aspirations of the ordinary majority people of Zimbabwe for the swift and complete implementation of Constitutional, Electoral, Security Sector reforms and political reforms which must lead to the holding of free and fair, peaceful and democratic, legitimate and conclusive elections in Zimbabwe in either 2012 or latest 2013.

And having “NOTED ” the Livingstone Summit resolutions, the yesterday SADC Summit went a step further to ENDORSE THEM BY ACTUALLY TAKING ACTION AND MAKING FURTHER RESOLUTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THOSE LIVINGSTONE RESOLUTIONS and this effective and further endorsement is illustrated by the SADC Summit’s final resolution and recommendation for 3 representatives of the SADC Troika to be immediately appointed to monitor the full implementation of the GPA together with JOMIC; the mobilization of resources by the SADC Secretariat to help towards the full implementation of the GPA, Constitutional, Electoral and Security Sector Reforms and all which must lead to free and fair elections in Zimbabwe on a level playing field in either 2012 or latest 2013.

So, an objective analysis of the whole issue will actually indicate that SADC did not just note the Livingstone Summit resolutions, but it also went a step further and effectively endorsed them(SADC noted and endorsed the Livingstone Summit resolutions)much to the chagrin of Mr Mugabe and ZANU PF who misguidedly wanted those Livingstone resolutions to be thrown out.

This notement and endorsement of the Livingstone resolutions is therefore a huge victory for all the people of Zimbabwe and beyond who want better governance, democracy, better leadership and progress than the tyranny, dictatorship, violence and corruption of Mr Mugabe and ZANU PF of the past 30 years and which they wanted SADC to note and endorse, but thank God, the SADC leaders were human and courageous enough to say No, enough is enough, and I, like the majority of peace an democracy loving Zimbabwe personally salute them for that, and now we are on an irreversible path to democracy and we must keep on for we are nearer to our destination.
