TV show launched for Zimbabweans in Diaspora

A new television show The Zim-UK Show aimed at Zimbabweans living in diaspora has been launched. The UK based show is aimed at providing Zimbabweans with the latest music videos, entertainment news and exclusive interviews with artists. It will also cover any Zimbabwean events including award shows, festivals, premieres etc in the UK.

The producer/director of the show Sibongile Rukazhanga said “This show is all about promoting and showcasing Zimbabwean artists from all over the world. We aim to have musicians, filmmakers, fashion designers, promoters etc come on the show to promote their work”

The show will be shown on Afro TV www.afrotv.co.uk which is a UK based African internet television channel founded by Sibongile in 2007 to promote African artist. Sibongile said the future of television is on the internet. Research shows that more and more people are watching shows on the internet. Our website is free to view and can be watched from all over the world. We are also in talks with UK based and Zimbabwean television channels to show the programmes there.

The show will be presented by Zimbabwean model and media student Wanangwa Kenzo Chiumia. Kenzo said “I am very excited about this show and we have been filming for the past couple of months and I am sure everyone will enjoy the show. I would also like to urge all artists and promoters to emails us their work. This is your show and let us promote you”
