A wonder strike by midfielder Wonder Sithole, and a stubborn defensive show spiced by an outstanding show by goalkeeper Washington Arubi, powered Dynamos to their first victory in the group phase of this year’s Champions League campaign.

Midfielder Sithole’s 30th minute strike from distance helped breathe life into the Harare giants’ campaign that had taken an early battering after losing their opening two matches to TP Mazembe and Esperance. Sithole got the ball on the right channel and beat one man before firing a rising shot that beat Entente Setif goalkeeper Mohamed Ferradji.

Dynamos are now in third place, with three points, after TP Mazembe went top, on seven points, following their come-from-behind 2-1 win over Esperance in the Democratic Republic of Congo yesterday. Esperance have six points and they host Mazembe in two weeks’ time.
