The main opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) has expressed its deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased passengers in the ZUPCO bus disaster that occurred a few kilometers outside Kwekwe on Monday.
The Zimbabwean government on Monday declared the bus accident that killed 26 people at the weekend along the busy Harare-Nyamapanda highway connecting the country to neighboring Malawi, a national disaster.
STATEMENT – The MDC would like to express its deepest and heartfelt condolences to the families of 24 passengers who perished in the fatal bus accident that took place Sunday morning along the Harare-Nyamapanda highway.
Four cross border traders died after a Zupco bus that they were traveling in was swept away while trying to cross Musavezi River in Shurugwi early this morning.
