HARARE – As the Zanu PF “elective” congress gets under way this week, thousands of youths and thugs are said to have been hired from around the country to heckle and harass embattled Vice President Joice Mujuru and her supporters during the damp squib gathering, the Daily News has been told.
HARARE – Some supporters of Vice President Joice Mujuru are apparently trying to persuade her to pull out of Zanu PF’s congress this week, after the host province Harare objected to her attendance, claiming she is at the heart of a murky plot to oust and assassinate President Robert Mugabe.
DESPITE some decades-long bad blood between Nyatsime College and ZANU-PF over land expropriation, the institution will next week provide accommodation to delegates of the ruling party’s congress.
There is no doubt that all local and international attention on Zimbabwe is fixed on the processes and outcomes of the forthcoming Zanu-PF congress set for December 2-7 2014.
President Mugabe yesterday slammed some Zanu-PF leaders for practising factionalism which he said led to some delegates to the party’s 6th National Youth League conference not being provided with food, while the opening ceremony was delayed due to transport shortages.
