‘Our major problem is we have “Presidents” who love photoshoots and shootouts’

By Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo

“Jubilation over a second hand plane, whilst Paul Kagame opens a 2.5 Billion dollar car industry”

Emphasis over ma vegetables and potatoes, as Edgar Lungu of Zambia embarks on a solar project to end the notorious load shedding.

“Every district in Zambia has a hospital, and he launched a 4000 road network for the whole country”.

Refurbishment of Kenneth Kaunda New Airport, and launch of Spaghetti road project in Lusaka.

We have become a laughing stock in Zimbabwe to receive another used plane (1994 model) which some impeccable sources claim was a plane which has been brought for the second time.

Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo: Let’s avoid elections for the next ten years and build Zimbabwe

By Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo

I have seen people in hotels going to bathrooms carrying their drinks, even mineral water for fear of being poisoned. I have seen people refusing to offer transport to an opposition member or ruling party. In other countries, they campaign on same platforms during elections, they exchange regalia.

We are not tolerant, we use hate language, and this has spilled even to sports and recreation, for those who have been watching our recent soccer matches involving our senior team, I have seen people waving political symbols in the national sports stadium.

We cannot speak using same language, with one voice. My simple question is who owns Zimbabwe? What defines Zimbabwe? If participating on the national tree planting day can result in shootings, then I think we have to suspend politics. Firing bullets, firing doctors, firing salvages etc.

Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo: Chamisa must come clean on his stance on Mugabe

By Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo

Nelson Chamisa must come out clean on his stance on Mugabeism and his henchman. His praise and hero worshipping of Robert Mugabe is a cause of concern given the atrocities committed by the former Zanu PF leader during his tenure as the President of Zimbabwe.

There are too many inconsistencies on Chamisa’s part particularly on the perceptions of Mugabe and his conduct. For the past 20 years, his party has been fighting Mugabe’s regime and suddenly he has made a u-turn which makes us believe there is more to it rather than hero worshipping.

Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo: Both MDC and Zanu PF lack structural constraints

By Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo

Arrogance does not pay in politics. The biggest enemy of Zanu PF now is the mouths of specific spin doctors and bad mouthing.

The most important thing is to respond to a problem in a proper way. The more you increase arrogance on a specific problem which has clear political indicators is suicidal and detrimental.

In the event that a third force surfaces on the political arena, both Zanu PF and MDC will suffer a major setback in future assignments.

Tsvangirai can adopt this succession model

Tsvangirai is not a brand that can easily erode in the modern political world. It is a brand to reckon. What his supporters and those aspiring candidates need to understand is that so far no one can easily match with his brand and his name is very critical in the succession matrix in the future plans of this opposition.
