Uncle and herdsman convicted over gruesome ritual murder of Tapiwa Makore

Tapiwa Makore Senior and Tafadzwa Shamba have been convicted by High Court judge Justice Munamato Mutevedzi over the gruesome ritual murder of Tapiwa Makore Jnr. The duo will be sentenced on the 12th of July. The murder in September 2020 sent shockwaves across the country with revelations that his body was chopped into pieces and his torso was found the following day being mauled by dogs.

Murehwa killing: Boy’s burial delayed

The burial of the seven-year-old boy, Tapiwa Makore, killed and dismembered in a suspected ritual murder in Murehwa, will be delayed as police need the results of DNA tests on the torso, recovered first, and the limbs, found in a toilet later, to prove all the body parts belong to the boy.

Murewa murder: Family engages prophets

The herdsman, Tafadzwa Shamba, who was recently arrested over the ritual murder of Tapiwa Makore (7) at Makore Village in Murehwa yesterday told detectives he killed the boy by cutting off the head with a knife in the dead of the night, while the boy’s uncle was holding a torch.
